A Short Bio:

The very first thing I would like to say is that I am not a professional photographer in the traditional sense of the word.  I do not derive my primary source of income thru photography. Photography, for me, is someplace I can play. It’s my sandbox full of tonka toys. It allows me to experiment, learn, and discover in a visual medium at my own pace.  This allows me to create professional quality imagery without tight deadlines or overlapping clients.

The equipment I use is all professional grade Canon. I am currently shooting with a 5D, what I consider to be Canon’s finest digital camera in terms of image quality at this point in time. I’m sure better cameras will come in time and with any luck I will be shooting with those as well. I also employ Canon L grade lenses. Once you’ve used Canon premium lenses you’re spoiled for life. 

I’ve been shooting for over 20 years now and still find myself excited to pick up the camera and go out and shoot. I enjoy shooting many subjects but by far my favorite is motorsports. I am also a car nut and have owned my share of cars over time including a full race prep Volkswagen Rabbit GTI. Although I can no longer afford to race I still enjoy my time at the track. Occasionally  my wife and I will run an open track lapping day at a raceway for fun. In fact that’s where you’ll probably find me. At the track.  See you there.
